저는 영화를 참 좋아합니다.
I like movies very much.
몰입감을 높이기 위해 혼자 극장에서 영화보는걸 즐깁니다.
I enjoy watching movies alone in theaters to increase my immersion.
열린 마음으로 영화를 선택합니다만 공포영화만은 절대 안고르려고 합니다ㅠ
I choose a movie with an open mind, but I'm never going to embrace a horror movie.
그런데 가령 회사에서 단체로 영화를 보러간다거나 하면 저에게 선택권이 없죠ㅠ
But when I go to the movies as a group, I don't have a choice.ᅲ
이 영화가 그랬습니다.
This movie was it.
당시 첫 직장에서 팀 회식으로 영화를 보러갔는데 부장님이 하필 이 영화를 고르다니...
At the time, the whole team went to the company dinner and the manager chose this movie.
워낙 유명했던 일본 소설과 영화였기에 미국판 리메이크도 만들었겠죠.
It was a famous Japanese novel and movie, so an American remake was made.
등장인물이 사다코라는 것과 TV속 우물에서 귀신이 기어나온다는건 소설이나 영화를 안보고도 다 알 수있을만큼 유명했습니다.
The main character Sadako and the ghost crawling out of the well on TV were famous enough to know without watching the novel or the movie.
그런데 이 영화를... 젠장ㅠ
But this movie... Damn it.
저는 영화관에서 무서운 장면이 나오면 얼굴을 손바닥으로 가리고 손가락사이로 눈만 살짝 보이게 한 다음 의자 밑으로 꺼져들어갑니다.
When I see a scary scene in the movie theater, I cover my face with my palm, show my eyes slightly between my fingers, and then go under the chair.
영화가 시작되고 음울한 분위기며 음향효과... 저는 시작부터 의자와 한 몸이 되어 꺼져갔습니다.
The gloomy screen and sound effects... From the beginning, I became one with the chair and went away.
드디어 우물에서 나온 사다코가 일어서면서, 날카로운 효과음과 함께 그녀의 흉물스러운 눈동자가 긴 머리카락 사이로 클로즈업 되는 순간!!!
The moment Sadako, finally out of the well, stands up and her hideous eyes close up between long hair with a sharp sound of effect!!!
갑자기 앞좌석에서부터 비명소리와 함께 하얀 물체들이 하늘이로 솓구치더니 우리 일행에게 날아들었습니다.
Suddenly, white objects flew into our group with a scream from the front seat.
공포감이 최대치인 상황에서 갑자기 뭔가가 머리와 얼굴을 강타하자 저도 함께 소리를 질렀습니다ㅠ
I screamed when something suddenly hit my head and face with fear at its peak.
알고보니 앞좌석 커플이 팝콘을 먹고 있다가 놀라서 팝콘컵을 위로 던져버렸던겁니다.
Turns out the couple in the front seat was eating popcorn and threw the cup up in surprise.
앞 커플은 영화가 상영되는 중이었지만 연신 미안하다고 사과를 했고, 우리 일행은 서로 콜라가 아니길 얼마나 다행이냐며 웃어넘겼죠.
The couple apologized over and over again, even though the movie was on air, and our group laughed at each other, saying, "How fortunate it wasn't a coke."
저는 욕이 튀어나올뻔 했습니다만ㅎ
But I almost cursed, haha.
확실히 영화는 2D 보다는 3D, 3D보다는 4D가 더 현실감 있다는 실감한 순간이었습니다.
It was definitely the moment when I saw that 3D was more realistic than 2D and 4D was more vivid than 3D.
사람들은 공포영화를 왜 좋아하는 걸까요?
Why do people like horror movies?
저는 아직도 이해할 수가 없습니다ㅎ
